What We Can Do Now

  1. quickly implement massive energy efficiency and conservation practices and replace fossil fuels with low-carbon renewables and other cleaner sources of energy safe for people and the environment!
  2. promptly reduce the emissions of pollutants including methane (CH4), carbon dioxide (CO2), black carbon (soot), and hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs)!
  3. protect and restore Earth's ecosystems: phytoplankton, coral reefs, forests, savannas, grasslands, wetlands, peatlands, soils, mangroves, and sea grasses contribute greatly to sequestration of atmospheric CO2!
  4. Eat mostly plant-based foods while reducing the global consumption of animal products, especially confined ruminant livestock in feedlots (cows, swine, sheep, etc.) which can improve human health and significantly lower GHG emissions!
  5. Curtail Excessive extraction of materials and overexploitation of ecosystems, driven by economic growth, to maintain long-term sustainability of the biosphere, Our Home, Our Planet!
  6. Stabilize and eventually reduce world population within a framework that ensures social integrity!
  7. Mitigate and adapt to climate change while honoring the diversity of humans AND ALL Life entails major transformations in the ways our global society functions and interacts with natural ecosystems.
